After almost 5 complete years as full-time RVers, we've purchased a homebase! Nope, not a house... we bought a resort RV lot in South Florida!
In this video, we give you a tour of our new RV lot, both what it looked like when we bought it and what it looks like today after we've made it our own.
We also share why we decided to buy an owner lot in an RV resort, how we narrowed down our choices, the resort that we selected and how it fits into our travel schedule, plans and domicile.
But don't worry Jamaica Beach fans! We'll still be making our annual visit to our favorite RV resort on the Texas Gulf Coast in November and December!

Things We Forgot to Mention
Our lot came with high speed internet. When we had the electrical additions made to the tiki, they also ran an ethernet connection straight from the modem to the tiki. So now we can plug in the TV for easy streaming or a computer for fast uploading of videos! This also saves us money since we can pause our Starlink and data services while we are here.
As full-time RVers, we have to have somewhere to stay every night of the year. Having the lot saves us money on campsite rentals.
We listed several of the amenities that we enjoy having here. We forgot to mention that this resort also has tennis courts and shuffleboard courts.
Besides watching the bunnies and birds, Astro has a ball watching lizards! So many lizards! They're not as large as iguanas, but there are some good-sized colorful ones here.
We also mentioned that there are great RV resorts all over the country that offer ownership opportunities. We enjoyed the heck out of Tiger Run during our visit to Breckenridge and Frisco, Colorado last year. And of course, we absolutely LOVED our stay at Hearthside Grove Luxury Motorcoach Resort during our visit to Northern Michigan earlier this year. We had already decided on Florida and bought our lot when we learned about Hearthside Grove and we've learned that there are several neighbors here that also own a lot there! While we aren't in the market for a second homebase, we will definitely be returning to Hearthside Grove next year to enjoy more of the resort and its surrounding area!
And that is one of the great things about owning a lot. We can come and go at any time without getting burned out by constant planning and travel. And as we said in the video, the ability to easily take a break whenever we want to and still be in our RV will extend our time as full-time RVers tremendously.
