If you have a motorhome pulling a tow vehicle, there are pull-off areas on both sides of the park entrance road coming in and out of the campground (inside the campground) that are designated areas for connecting and disconnecting your tow vehicle. It's a lot easier to connect/disconnect there than anywhere else in the campground.
The largest campsites at Fort Wilderness Campground are listed as Premium Campsites. They have full hookups and concrete parking pads up to 18'x60'. Other campsite classifications include Full Hook-Up sites, Preferred Sites and Tent/Pop-Up campsites.
Our original reservation was for a Preferred Campsite. The concrete pads in the Preferred sites measure up to 10'x45'. They are located near the marina.
Full Hook-Up campsites have concrete pads measuring up to 10'x50', and Tent/Pop-Up sites have concrete pads up to 10'x25'.
Campsite amenities include a picnic table, charcoal grill, WiFi and cable TV. All parking pads are concrete.
Each camping loop features a bathhouse with showers, ice machine and laundry. They have always been very clean on our visits.
