No matter how new or old your RV is. No matter what type of RV you have. No matter how well you take care of your RV. Sometimes things happen. And when something goes wrong, calling the right folks first can save you time, money and a whole lot of stress.
So when things don't go as planned and you find yourself needing assistance, who are you going to call for help?
When you find yourself in that stressful situation of a breakdown or malfunction of any kind. It helps to be prepared. Here are a few tips to make those moments easier.
Add your RV manufacturer, chassis manufacturer, engine manufacturer (if applicable) customer service phone numbers to your contacts in your phone so that you'll have phone numbers readily avaiable when you need them.
Add your favorite servicing dealer or other trusted RV service professional to your phone as well.
Save an easily findable note in your phone with your RV's year, make, model, VIN number and any other identifying information that the manufacturers and service providers may request to help them with helping you.
If your manufacturer or trusted service provider offers an app, make sure you download it, create your account and become familiar with how to use it before you need it.
Though nothing is full-proof, keeping up with your RV's annual maintenance can go a long way to avoiding issues.
If you're not sure what all you should be checking on a regular basis, it's good to make a list now before issues develop. Fellow owners can be a great source of information, but again, in our opinions, the best source of recommended maintenance is your manufacturer and trusted service shop.
