In this post, we share our experience at Hearthside Grove Luxury Motorcoach Resort in Petoskey, Michigan.
We absolutely LOVE visiting this region of Michigan! And, for Class A motorhome owners, there is no nicer resort in Petoskey than Hearthside Grove. In this video, we share our recent experience during our stay at the resort, give you a bird's eye view of the park, and speak with our friend Lance Bailey about what is new and coming to the community.
Hearthside Grove is an owner resort, meaning that you can purchase a lot for your motorhome. It is also open to renters (like us) who want to visit this beautiful area without purchasing property.
If you'd like to hear more of the story behind Hearthside Grove, check out our conversation with developers, Craig and Kirk Rose, who joined us for Episode 28 of our Podcast a couple of years back.
You'll find Hearthside Grove on US 31 North at the top of the mitten in Petoskey, Michigan. Petoskey is in the Northwest region of Lower Michigan. It's approximately 31 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge, the gateway to Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
The weather is AMAZING here during the Summer with lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s. In Summer, the plants are in full bloom. There are flowers and beautiful full trees everywhere. This is the most popular time to visit.
But don't overlook the shoulder seasons! For example, May to mid-June and September. The weather will be a bit cooler (we were sleeted on one day in early May), but overall, still nice. Not everything will be open, but most restaurants and shops were open during our May visit. And everything was a lot less crowded. We enjoyed seeing the area come to life as it woke up from Winter and prepared for the Summer visitors. For our tips for visiting a seasonal destination during a shoulder season, check out Episode 29 of our Podcast!
