As we were traveling between Chattanooga, Tennessee and Sedalia, Missouri, we discovered a GEM of an RV park located in a city park operated by the City of St Peters, Missouri. Just west of St Louis, 370 Lakeside RV Park will be our go-to stop next time we are traveling this section of Interstate 70 or when we visit the attractions in the St Louis area.
370 Lakeside Park is one of the largest and nicest city parks we have visited. This beautiful 500-acre park includes a recreational lake, outdoor activities, a bath house and hiking trails.
During our stay, this park was clean and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The City of St Peters began officially planning the construction of 370 Lakeside Park in 2005. It appears that the first phases of the park (which included about half of the RV park and the core amenities) opened in 2011. Development continued, and today 370 Lakeside Park is the biggest public park in St Peters, Missouri.
Today the 370 Lakeside Park RV Campground features 75 RV campsites with full hookups divided into 3 pods of 25 campsites each. Some of the large sites sit on concrete pads, some are level gravel sites, and 5 of the campsites are listed as ADA-approved sites.
All full-service RV sites at 370 Lakeside RV Park include 30-amp and 50-amp service, water and sewer connections. Our campsite also had a fire ring and a picnic table.
Visitors can choose a pull-through site or a back-in site. Every campsite includes a grassy area with a decent amount of space between each site.
The campground also features a group campground for primitive tent camping.
The campground roads are well-maintained and easy to navigate with an RV. With parking pads measuring 15 feet wide and 61 to 71 feet in length, any size RV can fit here.
This campground offers daily rates and weekly rates with a 60-day maximum stay. 370 Lakeside Park Campground also offers a Monthly rate from November through March. Monthly visitors receive temporary memberships to the St. Peters Rec-Plex, the city's fitness and recreation facility.
The RV park has its own HUGE dog park which is protected by a keycode available only to campground guests. There is a large paved parking area at the fenced dog park.
The campground headquarters is staffed 24 hours a day. Your park map and information provided on check-in provides a phone number to call at any time if you need assistance during your stay.
Park rangers and community service officers patrol the campground and park 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
There is also a clean comfort station with restrooms, a laundry room and a dump station on site.
Guests of the RV park also have access to all of the overall park amenities including:
Registered RV campers also receive St Peters resident rates on the archery range, fishing, the boat launch, and paddle boat and kayak rentals.
You'll find 370 Lakeside Park RV Campground within the larger 370 Lakeside Park in St Peters, Missouri. To reach the park, we took Missouri 370 north from Interstate 70 to Lakeside Park Drive. It was easy to get in and out of. The RV check-in station is to the left after you enter the park before you reach the campground. The RV check-in area is large, level and has plenty of room for disconnecting your tow vehicle if you are driving a motorhome.
St Peters is located in St. Charles County.
This park would be a great place to serve as home base for exploring the greater St Louis area. It is located approximately 35 miles northwest of Downtown St Louis and popular destinations like the Gateway Arch.
There are major shopping areas (including Costco) and restaurants in St Peters.
Founded in 1769, nearby historic St Charles, Missouri offers history tours, museums and a free trolley. It's definitely on our list to visit in the future!
An early Summer collegiate baseball team, the O'Fallon Hoots, play just 8 miles away.
Visit the 370 Lakeside Park RV Campground page of the City of St Peters, Missouri website.
Their webpage includes current pricing, more information on campsite sizes, seasonal updates, and a phone number to call for reservations.
